Kimmel Sensei teaches Japanese at Streamwood
High School in Illinois. Streamwood High School, located in the town of Streamwood, about 30 miles northwest of Chicago, is a four-year comprehensive high school with academic courses, business courses and industrial courses. 150 teachers teach 2100 students who are from many different countries including Japan, Poland, Laos, Vietnam, Korea, Russia, Mexico, India, Pakistan and Kenya. There are more than 500 Japanese companies in the Chicago area. Ms. Kimmel teaches the Japanese History and Culture in the comprehensive high school and the Japanese language in the World Languages and International Studies Academy. Streamwood High School has a sister school link with Nago High School in Okinawa and with a high school in Germany.
