Anti animal cruelty page

This page is dedicated to stop animal abuse and to educate people about their pets. Now im not a veterinarian or something so i dont have answers to medical questions. I do have some interesting links to other peoples pages who have some great info about issues concerning animal safety and health. If you have some additional info or links please email me with that info and i will try to link to that issue here.

I am a firm supporter of spaying/neutering all pets that are destined to be pets! A "fixed" kitty has less health problems, less tendancy to wander and there are too many pets is shelters already! So many of those are euthanised becasue some irresponsible "owner" didnt want the pet fixed because of some dumb reason. I really believ that unless the pet can atribute to the breed there are not a lot reasons left (if any) not to "fix" your pet!

I never even knew this mutilation of pets was done untill i discovered the internet. I have read testimonies from owners who are now pro and anti declawing and from what i read i am ANTI! I seriously dont see any valid reason (other then health) to declaw! I mean you KNOW when you get a cat it comes with claws and there are many ways of positively redirecting the clawing behaviour to for instance a scartching post. For me there is no discussion, declawing is selfish and very wrong!

Our cat is an inside cat with some visits to the backyard under supervision.I see too many missing leaflets on the windows of the supermarket to let Ramses wander outside freely. Our kitty has total run of the house all day and at night she sleeps in her own bedroom (complete with toys, litterbox and food). She has plenty of toys and ofcourse us to play with so i dont think its cruel to keep your pets indoors where they are not subjected to cars, deseases, and offcourse humans .

This candle will burn here forever in memory of all critters, big and small who died at the hand of careless abusers. That also includes the numerous litters born every day to "pets" that werent spayed by there "owners". my thoughts are with them. I hope they have gone to a better place whre there is no cruelty anymore.

A place called the rainbow bridge.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
