Diary of Corporal Arthur W. Scherr
107th Field Signal BN.
32nd Division (Red Arrow Division)
Wisconsin National Guard
The diary of my grandfather contains a large number of photographs that were taken by A. W. Scherr in his capacity as an official photographer with the 107th Field Signal Bn.
It may be slow loading - but it is well worth the wait.
The transcription is from a leather-bound pocket diary written by my grandfather - mostly in pencil. It chronicles the time from July 1917 through May 1919, taking him from Camp Douglas, Wisconsin to Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas, his trek across the U.S. to embark on the RMS Baltic for France with the AEF, through France and the occupation of Germany.
