[E-Plex Chief] markjut [19575] : It's great to be able see so many of you at this event and the ePlex to be able to continually host it as it has been in the Past!
[E-Plex Chief] markjut [19575] : We are gathered here to thank our founders' SFX and espicially Hawk! Over the last few years Hawk has worked very hard to keep Cybertown alive and to keep on developing the community that we call "our second home"!
[E-Plex Chief] markjut [19575] : Now, I want you to shut your eyes and imagine what you would have done without Cybertown. When I personally do this I realise that I have developed in Charactor and strength! - So thank you :)

[Knight Virtual] Vialle [48406] : For the last few weeks I've been thinking alot about what Cybertown has brought to my life,
[Knight Virtual] Vialle [48406] : how to convey this to everyone here today,
[Knight Virtual] Vialle [48406] : and how best to thank our Founder.
[Knight Virtual] Vialle [48406] : I've been a bit out of practice when it comes to making "speeches", so I decided to write a letter, instead. :)
[Knight Virtual] Vialle [48406] : Dear Hawk, Tony, Mr Founder, Friend:
Close to 6 years ago I found a new home called Colony City.
I didn't bring much with me when I moved in. I brought just one friend, I didn't bring any knowledge at all of html, no chat experience, no spare time :)

I could tell that the foundation of my new home was still in the construction stage. Building blocks were being added slowly, and even though there were no confining walls, there was enough support for the protective roof over my head.

Within a short time I realized that someone was furnishing my home for me. First, with no effort on my part, new friends were added. Then a feeling of community seemed to appear. Someone must have resized the world because suddenly I realized that the whole world had moved into my home. People, who before had been too far away to meet, were now just a step away. Those people brought friendship, ideals, and knowledge into my home.

Now, years later, the building blocks are still being added and more is being moved in, daily. I realize now that my home will never be completed. It is an ongoing process and there are no limits to it's construction.

Hawk, thank you for the continuous supply of building blocks. Thank you for all that furnishes my home. Thank you for being the foundation.

I'm sorry I can't be here today to celebrate Founder's Day with you all.

CT has gone through many changes over the years, and during all of it, our Founder has remained steadfast and true in the dream and the vision of what was possible and in his dedication to turning that dream into the reality we all enjoy. His perseverance and dedication to ensuring that our city remains and continues to grow, is truly commendable. His dream has enabled many of us to find a place to call home, to enjoy new people and make friends that we may never have had the opportunity to find otherwise. It's opened our minds, our hearts, and brought a community together that enriches many of our lives every day. Today is a celebration for the man and the dream, for the possibilities of what might be, and the realities of what is yet to come.

I would just like to say thank you Hawk, for the person you are, the dedication to a City we love, and the privilege to call you my friend. I truly appreciate everything you do for us on a daily basis, *bows* "Raises glass" To Hawk, our Founder!

Once a year is too infrequently to offer our thanks to the Founders, Hawk and SFX, for the wonderful gift they gave us when they established Cybertown. I'm sure I'm like most of you here who have met people we'd never have known and learned things we'd never have if we hadn't had this site. When I first came to Cybertown, I valued it for the occasional break in routine it offered. After being here for a while, I found the real value was the friends I had found here. Thank you for all you have done, from the beginning and continue to do for Cybertown.

Today is a day of gratitude and joy. With all the many years of cybertown behind us, we are filled with great memories and great experiences to pass on to others. As many have heard me say in the past, without Cybertown I would not be where I am today, in work, in my personal life and still sober. There are many people to thank along the way, but without this grand idea turned into reality, none of it would exist. I feel blessed and enriched to have a part in this community.

Thank you Hawk and Cybertown and everyone that works, lives and plays here.

I am extremely happy to be speaking to you today in honor of Founders Day! Words can not express the amount of gratitude I have for Hawk for helping create Cybertown, and for being the driving force behind its survival and continuing success!

When I first found Cybertown, I could not believe that I had finally found a utopia where people could interact with others while still respecting each other for their opinion without fear of being ridiculed or ostsized from society. In fact, quite the opposite was true! You were respected for your opinion, and encouraged to express it! Hawk had the foresight and wisdom to know that this type of society would attract the interests of the internets best and brightest people from all over the world, and that they would congregate to try to help each other and make the world a better place be being a bright and shining example of how society should strive to become! Hawk was able to take the best interactive technology, and adapt it to become an attractive and fascinating place for it's residents to thrive and exchange ideas! I'm sure that Cybertown has grown beyond Hawk's wildest dreams! I know how much he cares for our cybersociety by his caring and understanding actions to keep the dream alive!

Hawk was ahead of his time when he created Cybertown! It is amazing to see how far it has come! Cybertown started as Hawk's spark, and it's flames have been fanned by it's residents to become the bright point of intellectual light that it has become!

So Hawk, and SFX, thank you for being the nucleus of this incredibly beautiful and complex place where we can leave the boundaries of the so-called real world, and live in a place where we can be respected and accepted by friends, the residents of Cybertown! My second home is Cybertown!

Thank you very much for all these wonderful words and honors today.

As I mentioned before, I may have created CT but it's you who everyday create it and who have made it what it has become. I'm so proud of you!

Today I have some potentially exciting news but I do have to stress that this is "unofficial" as it's still in discussion. I was talking to the CEO of IVN recently and we discussed his plans for what we call "Cybertown Charter Members" as well as for some "Cybertown Senior Contributers". Cybertown Charter Members are those members who have kept Cybertown online and alive by subscribing. Specifically it means those Cybertown members who have subscribed and who continuously subscribe before the IVN Nexos is launched. Senior Contributers include those who have continued to hold senior key posts such as Council positions, Technical positions, Security positions and other positions where they have worked with me in running the community.

The Nexos and Silhouette are very much intertwined and recently the new Silhouette has been demonstrated to some very major corporate potential partners, all of whom have been very interested in the technology. As soon as the Nexos is launched, the CEO would ideally in gratitude like to reward those who have shown their love for Cybertown by continuing to support it, and those rewards may include substantial discounts on their membership fees and even free membership for life and other status benefits.

With regard to Senior Contributers, IVN's hoped-for plan is to offer certain of those who are interested, actual positions in IVN the company, either as employees or consultants.
