Edward Webster Pugsley

Edward Webster Pugsley was born, on April 23, 1884, in Albany, NY. According to family tales, he was baptised twice. Once by his in the church of his protestant parents, and once in a Roman Catholic church at the insistance of his Catholic Grandmother. He always claimed he was twice blessed.

He married Sarah on March 14, 1904 in Mt Vernon, NY, and I believe they eloped. He was living in Greenwich at the time and she was from Tarrytown.

They lived in Greenwich for about a year, then Stamford, CT, and later Port Chester, NY. They had three children, and Sarah died in May of 1910 in childbirth, losing the baby also. The third child, Thomas Earl died shortly after his mother. He was between 14 & 20 months old at the time.

Edward took his girls, Marion and Edna, and moved to New Kensington, PA where he married Anna May Hessom in April of 1911. They had 3 children.

Edward worked for West Penn Power Company for many years, and when he retired, he moved to Sebring, FL.
