Gad Lane

Gad Lane was born in Suffield, CT, in August of 1744. He was the only known son of Samuel and Elizabeth Lane.

Very little is known about Gad. He married Olive Tree in 1772. They had five children that were listed in Suffield town records. Olive died after 1790, but there is no record of her death. Gad is buried in the Old Center Cemetery in Suffield, but Olive does not seem to be buried there.

Gad served with the Suffield Militia in the Revolutionary War, probably seeing action during 1775-1777. He did not apply for a pension so there are no good records for his service.
