John Blais was born in Canada, possibly English Canada, about 1850. He married Victoria Morin and between the summer of 1880 and the spring of 1883 they moved to Waterbury, VT. It is supposed that he went there to work on the Railroad which was being built around Waterbury at that time.
Their eldest son Joseph was hit by a train and killed in the summer of 1883, and Victoria died in 1887. John was left with three children and he returned to Canada a short time after Victoria's death.
He remarried, but we have not been able to find his second wife's name. They had a daughter named Burnadette Blais. He died sometime after 1900 in Canada.
