The Common Fleabane or Philadelphia Fleabane is a member of the Sunflower Family (Asteraceae) is a small astor-like flower with numerous small white-pink ray flowers surrounding a yellow disk. The flower head measures 1/2 to 1 inch across.

The leaves of the plant are hairy and elongated to slightly oval. The flowers bloom from April to August throughout the United States in thickets, fields and open woodlands.
