Fairy Poetry

I love to write poetry among other things. Lately my imagination has taken a decided turn toward the world of fantasy.

Fairy Lure

Have you ever walked through snowflakes
As they brush against your cheek
They are the Fairy kisses
Your attention they do seek

Have you ever sat at twilight
When the fire flys come play
They are the Fairy lanterns
That light their dancing way

Have you ever watched at sunrise
Heard the larks begin to sing
It is the Fairy lullaby
As morning bells do ring

Have you ever watch at moonrise
When the owl song raises high
At is the Fairies call to you
To come and with them fly

Are you too closly tied to earth
And all it's mundane things?
Then heed the Fairy's magic call
And fly on silvery wings.

You'll never know the majesty
The magic you will find
When on that very special day
You leave the world behind.

The Realm of Twilight

As the sun sinks neath the 'rison
And the stars begin to shine
Comes the Realm of Twilight
A joyous, magic time

A light a tiny lady
Floats and dances in the air
And becons you to follow
As she flies without a care

You find your spirit soaring
As the world fades in the mist
But you care not for it's passing
For you were born for this
