 | Never buy something for yourself and give it to your love as a gift. |
| Never give perfume that is generic, it usually smells like the barnyard and she won't appreciate it. |
| Never buy something that gives her the idea she is overweight, gift certificates to Weight Watchers, the local diet center or a subscription to Overeaters Annonomyous Magazine!! |
| Never give her something that implys she is less than attractive, wrinkle cream, vanishing cream, make-up of any kind, a makeover, etc. |
| Never give her anything made of sturdy materials, flannel, wool, denim or canvas. |
| | Never give her an appliance for the kitchen, laundry or household in general. A stereo, computer, or vibrator are acceptable. |
| Never give her cleaning supplies, unless you want to wear them. |
| Never give him tools related to his work, tools related to his hobby are fine. |
| Never give him items that imply he doesn't do enough around the house, garden tools, lawnmowers, that new faucet you've been wanting!! |

When to Give a Gift
The first rule for when to give a gift is anytime is an acceptable time, the more of a suprise it is the more effective the gift becomes. The second rule is never, ever forget the special days, Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Christmas, Birthdays and any other special days you celebrate as a couple.
Now there are other times when a gift is a delight to receive. The first day of spring, each day of Advent, the Anniversary of the day you first met, or of your Engagement. St Patrick's Day, the day you discovered you loved her or visa versa, Mid-summer's eve, you just got a promotion, you had a good day, she had a bad day, or just because!! There is no bad time to give a gift.
