The second mailbag of 2001... And the late mailbag. I would have had this mailbag done last week, but I was busy and couldn't get around to it. Oh well, it was worth the wait now, wasn't it?
John will pd2 in multi player will it be like in solo mission on pd if you shoot
the enemies thell do a movement when they get hit. well in pd2 will you get a taste
of wut the enemies feel like wut they ben through in solo missions?
Deadeye Says: I doubt you'll see animations after being injured during combat simulator play. As for the second part of the question, I really don't know what you mean. Sorry.
Joe just a few questions...
1.wut is space world and where is it located?
2.Will the combat boosts on pd be on pd2?if so will it be enhanced?
3.on pd2 if you are in front of 100 ppl will it be laggy or not at all because on
nintendo 64 it always lags is if there is a lot of ppl
Deadeye Says: 1. Space World is just a little convention/show where game developers like to show-off their work, and this year it's located in Japan, I believe. 2. Yes, most likely. 3. The GAMECUBE is much more powerful than the N64, so expect the overall framerate to be better than on the N64.
Andydark This has something to do with your buddy icon page, are we able to put
them in our signatures at other forums?
Deadeye Says: Yes, use them where and how ever you want.
John i love perfect dark and i am a true fan of pd and i just want to ask will
there be a movie of pd and pd2?
Deadeye Says: Yes, there is a movie of Perfect Dark in the making right now. Its planned debut is May 1, 2003.
Steve i might get a cable modem for my internet and i just wanted to know will there be
an adaptar for that and if so will i be able to play perfect dark zero
thaks
Deadeye Says: Not much word about the GAMECUBE's online play system is out there, but most likely you'll be able to use a cable modem with it.
alper oğlum bak sana senin kopyanı gönderdim hadi siktim bayyyy
Deadeye Says: Is that so? I didn't know you loved my mother so dearly.
Dark Sim Hey Deadeye, what's up?
Welp I was just wondering, wouldn't your "source" get fired for letting out his info?
I mean like, geez wouldn't you think people that work for Nintendo and all have all
their actions and places they go (not always), logged somewhere? Just a ponderence.
~ Dark Sim 90
Deadeye Says: My source doesn't work for Nintendo. His "buddy" does. He wouldn't get fired because the information he's revealing is not that "secretive" to begin with.
elite Are the PD heads real human heads
like Mr. Blonde or the president?
Deadeye Says: Yes, most are. They are face mappings of real people. Others like the alien heads and masks are manually designed, of course.
Colin Hey, great site!
So, my question is:
Is it sure that PD0 will have online play? And if so, do you know how many players
will be able to fight in the online multi-player?
Thanks, and keep up the great work!
Deadeye Says: Thanks for the feedback. It has recently been announced that the GAMECUBE may feature an online system sometime in 2002, so expect RareWare to take full advantage of it. It is not known how many players can play at once online as of yet.
blu2 Perfect Dark Zero should appeal to the hardcore and the relaxed market
like Goldeneye did, keep things relatively simple but add a little complexity to
the later levels where even the most casual gamers will be totally hooked if they
ever got that far. The storyline better be realistic like Goldeneye as well, aliens
and stuff just doesn't appeal to casual gamers in general. The menus need to be
kept simplified but with an advanced button that adds sh*tloads of extra options
for the purist gamer
Deadeye Says: Oh, don't worry. I'm sure you'll be happy with Perfect Dark Zero ;)
elite Hi! Why is there no Slayer in the all guns cheat? What a sh....!
Deadeye Says: The slayer was intented to be, but RareWare took it out because they noticed that players would use the fly-by-wire rocket in not-so-intended ways to access certain...areas...
Patrick Bateman Hey great site, heres a few questions.
1. The Datadyne levels in Perfect Dark were defenitely the coolest, will we be seeing
the Datadyne building again?
2. What will the ratio of real to scifi environments be like? It was perfect in
the first one.
3. What exactly do you mean by level editor? Like changing weapon locaions and
guard attributes? or do you mean a level MAKER for multiplayer levels. That would
be awesome. I spend many hours back in the day making levels for Doom 2.
Thanks, keep up the good work.
Deadeye Says: Thanks. 1- I'm not too sure, but yeah, maybe. 2- Not too sure about that yet, either, but the amount of alien ideas may be cut-back a little. 3- Most likely you'll only be able to edit only existing things, but everyone, including me, is hoping that RareWare will somehow manage to create an advanced editor. I wouldn't 100-percent expect it, though.
ST_DARK Have PD0 Multiplayerleveleditor?
Deadeye Says: See above, question 3.
Alez Amezcua I have a bunch of questions questions:
1.Do you think that Rare will add the CI building for multi?
2.If the throwing star is added, will it take the place of the knife? I love the
knife.
3.You said that multi characters are fully custumizable, well I was wondering if
you could have shirts and pants that dont match. What I mean is can you change the
pants seperate from the shirt?
Great job on the site, keep it up!
Deadeye Says: 1- I'm not absolutely sure. 2- The knife will probably stay. 3- I haven't gotten word on some of the details about the character editor, but I could probably get by with saying "yes". Thanks!
Pete Hello, like yourself I am a avid PD fan, I wondered if you knew when some screen shots would be available. If you have access to them already, are they any good?, Ofcourse they will be its rare isnt it? :)
Deadeye Says: I'd recon that some screenshots will be revealed sometime before the end of this year. Screenshots and movies for Perfect Dark came out two years before its release. My source says he has seen a screenshot, and according to him, "The graphics put those of Metal Gear Solid's to shame."
Mark Winterstein This isn't a query, but thanks for all the info on PD0! Excitement is
coursing through my veins. I can't wait to snipe some paratroopers!
Deadeye Says: You're welcome. Neither can I.
Astroweedz i've been a fan of GE and PD for a long time and am totally convinced your
info is real. Your site is the best on the net for PD0 info. blah blah blah
anywayz ive got a question that perhaps you could answer by your next update.
The online possiblities are endless with PD0 and im really interested. i was
just wanting to know if the online factor for PD0 will be announced at
spaceworld and if you could shed more light on the online stuff. could you
possibly download new levels? modes? weapons?
o ya and will you be able to post pictures after spaceworld
thanx
keep up the good stuff
Astroweedz
Deadeye Says: I hope all or at least most of the info from my source will be confirmed. I've been hearing rumors that Rare will might not reveal anything about PD0 at Spaceworld, unfortunately. They are just rumors, though... I'm not abosulutely sure, but with a memory card or something to save things to you might be able to download "extras" from the 'net. I may or may not be able to post screenshots after Spaceworld. It's very "iffy". Thanks.
Astroweedz hey do you know if the Perfect dark title will be released soon after the
modem is. (kinda like Phantasy Star Online on GC) and how far along is it.
what old GE levels are they trying to get back (crossed fingers for complex
and facility)
do you know what framerate that PD0 is running at right now or what it will
run at when released.
and will the online network for PD0 be regional (Us plays Us and Jp plays Jp)
or national
o ya and will PD0 feature any populated levels like Times Square or NYcity
streets or some kind of park. I'd really like to see the action rise if
you'd have to shoot through tons of civilians to pick off a fleeing enemy. or
maybe go it more stealth through these parks and populated areas. That would
be a real chalenge.
thanx for answerin my Q's for last time
Deadeye Says: There's no confirmed release date yet, but my best estimate is October, 2002. I haven't seen any info on GE levels in PD0, but you can probably expect some. The framerate should definately be better than that of PD's, knowing that the GAMECUBE is so much more powerful. I haven't seen much info about the online play, so, beats me. Don't know, but I'd expect larger, more detailed single player levels this time around.
So, was this late mailbag worth the wait? If you have a question for next week's mailbag, feel free to use the form below. Be sure you put your question in the correct text box.
