MORE PD2 INFO -deadeye- I added some more information on Perfect Dark Zero to the PD2 Info page, thanks to our special "source"... Remember to keep checking RareDark.com each day for the latest info on PD2. Also remember that we get this info before anyone else because of our "source". Oh, and the Question of the Update will be answered later today, for those who enjoy them.

FRESH NEW PD2 INFO -deadeye- I put up a whole entire page of brand-spanking new Perfect Dark Zero information. Check it out here. Remember, RareDark.com will continuously provide you with the most recent PD0 info, even before most other websites in some cases. Keep coming back for the latest info.
NEW LAYOUT, ANYONE? -deadeye- I am thinking about changing this website's layout slightly to allow for faster loading times, all-browser compatibility, and all-resolution capability.
Answer to Question #16: Perfect Dark was delayed a total of two times, the first date being December, which was delayed to April, which was delayed again to May.
Question of the Update #17: In Perfect Dark, what is the RCP-120's average rate of fire?

RARE USED MY SUGGESTION? -deadeye This is some very, very interesting news. A few months back, around early February, I wrote a storyline (which is located here) for Perfect Dark 2 and sent it to RareWare HeadQuarters. Well, you should know by now about the name for the next edition of PD (see May 16 update), which is "Perfect Dark Zero". Why is it PD0 instead of PD2? Because, according to the most recent info, PD0 takes place beforePerfect Dark for the N64 system takes place. If you read my storyline, you'd know that my storyline takes place in the "past" (in other words, it takes place before 2023, which is PD's time area). This is very interested. Although, I probably shouldn't jump to conlcusions so quickly, but then again, you never know...

GAMECUBE RELEASE DATES -deadeye- So far, here are the planned release dates for the NINTENDO GAMECUBE: Japan > 14 September 2001; North America > 5 November 2001; and Europe > 2002. The GAMECUBE will sell for a price near $200 (American). Not too bad of a price, considering this machine will be one of the best out there for its time.
PERFECT DARK'S ANNIVERSARY -deadeye- Wow, it's been one entire year since Perfect Dark was released. For some reason the time just flew by. One year ago tens of thousands of North Americans were calling up their favorite videogames and ordering their PD, or flocking to stores as soon as PD hit their shelves. For some reason I still remember the day I picked-up Perefct Dark. It was the 23 of May, 2000, on a Tuesday, I belive. I remember playing the first mission for the first time, my mouth wide open in awe from the sharp, crisp graphics, from the stunning reflections of light, from the interesting music, from the realistic shreaks and cries from the bloody guards, and from the slightly different feel of the surroundings. Heh, I also remember waiting for months and months for the game to be released, downloading every new movie and every new screenshot to look at in awe. I remember being XXXXed off when every new delay was announced. Ahhh, those odd memories will haunt me forever... Until Perfect Dark Zero comes out for the GAMECUBE, that is...
Answer to Question #15: When you pick up a floating rocket in Goldeneye it says, "Picked up a null."
Question of the Update #16: How many times was the release date of Perfect Dark delayed?

SCREENSHOTS COMING YOUR WAY -deadeye- Yep, I'm currently working on getting some more screenshots up. I am thinking about adding screenshots of places where you can't go in the combat simulator, since pics of places where you can't go in Solo isn't enough for you. I am also working on making some new "Sniper Views" for you.
Answer to Question 14: These are all of the possible alien weapons found in the solo mission "Skedar Ruins": Reaper, slayer, mauler, and phoenix. To get a phoenix, you must destroy all of those big pole thingies (the things you put the amplifiers on). After placing the amplifiers on the correct poles, get out your devastator and blow up the remaining poles. Head on over to where the big huge crack/canyon is, and right on the edge are two phoenixes.
Question of the Update #15: In Goldeneye after doing the "floating mine trick" in the bunker, you can also make rockets float. When you go up to the floating rocket and pick it up, what does the text on the screen say? Hint: Picked up a _____. (Fill in the blank)

PERFECT DARK 2 NEWS -deadeye- Been wondering what Perfect Dark 2's name is going to be? Well, wonder no more. There is a PD 2 in development as you read this. The name for the game: Perfect Dark Zero. And no, I have no idea on what the "zero" means. You might want to add the following link to your favorites (or bookmarks), for in the future this link will be updated with the most recent PDZ news. Remember, RareDark.com will constantly update you on the progress of PD2, as we did PD1 more than a year ago. You saw this news first at RareDark.com. Oh, and great thanks goes to PDJohn for informing me of this. Here's the official Nintendo PDZ website that will be adding info on the next PD: http://www.nintendo.com/games/gamepage/gamepage_main.jsp?gameId=604.
WEAPONS PAGE UPDATED -deadeye- The incomplete Weapons Page has been updated, so all weapons up to the Dragon are listed and explained. Screenshots of each weapon will soon be added as well.
Question of the Update #14: In Perfect Dark in the solo mission "Skedar Ruins," what are the names of all the possible alien weapons that can be obtained (without the use of cheats)?

GOOD JOLLY, MACMOLLY -deadeye- Sorry about the slowness of updates. As of now, things will be kicking up again. The next update will have the next "Question of the Update" in it. I will try to refinish the weapons page soon. Remember, this site was hacked into a while back and everything was deleted, and I'm still recreating the pages.
How long will this website live? For a very long time. You can expect this website to be covering Perfect Dark 2 news up until its release and even beyond. For some reason most small fanbased gaming sites last no more than a few months, but Deadeye's Basement still gets a steady amount of hits each day, which makes me feel alright. It's good to know that I don't burn my eyes out typing on the PC for nothing. I have little time anymore, and it's a wonder how I manage to sqeeze in 15 minutes once a day to work on this site.

WHYA NOA UPDATE? -deadeye- Because. That's why. Really, my ISP was not working for an entire week. Thinks will be rolling again soon. Now for some PD news, which is very "rare" anymore: Hack Master 64 created codes that allow Skedar in the combat simulator as sims only. They act like regular sims. Click here for the codes and stuff. And we find out that the so-called "Rooftop" mutliplayer level was, indeed, an actual level, not the beta name for the "Car Park" level. It was "taken out" for some reason. Notice there are no screenshots of the level anywhere, not even old screenshots show this level. Oh well.

GETTING BORED? -deadeye- It seems that many long-time Perfect Dark owners are getting bored with the game. You've read about every glitch, every mystery, looked at maps, looked for and found all the cheese, tried to beat your best times, and horsed around a little. Now you're bored. So now what? Xperimental and I are here to help. Sometime next month (hopefully early in the month) I should finish up the most detailed weapons page and even put up one of the longest multiplayer scenerio lists on the internet. I may also put up a page which shows you some fun things you can do, with and without a Gameshark or Action Replay. Once Xperimental and I get these pages up, things will be like the good 'ol days again, when you invited a bunch of your friends over and battled it out in PD.
Answer to Question #13: In Perfect Dark, in the Chicago Streets level, there are two methods you can use to successfully complete your "Create Diversion" objective. The first and most obvious way is to obtain the reprogrammer from the sewer, go up to the taxi cab, and hit "B". The other method is to find the dumpster in the alleyway with all the oil drums. Push the dumpster closer to a stack of drums. Shoot the drums to make them and the dumpster explode. You should see a little white "Ourumov" style briefcase pop out. Pick it up. Inside is a nifty gadget called a "bombspy". Fly it over to the car lift doors and hit "Z" to create an explosion and kill the bastard guards, successfully creating a diversion. However, this method does not destroy the annoying robot, but is a little funner to do.

WILL BE A ROLL'N -deadeye- Yeah, my ISP is working again. I am currently working on the new weapons page, which will probably be just about the best on the 'net. It is taking a while to complete because of all the little details and info on each weapon in Perfect Dark. Oh, and welcome back, Xperimental.
Answer to Question #12: False. There is no way to destroy the G5 robot with the Falcon 2, or with any weapon for that matter, as most of you already know. Which leads me to the next question:
Question of the Update #13: In Perfect Dark in the "Chicago Streets" level, how many methods can you use to successfully create a diversion (which happens to be one of your objectives)?

OMG -Xperimental- OK, well I have finally found my backup of walkthrough tips (walkthrough for pd) and uploaded it so it can be found on the link to the left or here. Please note that this was an old back-up and is only upto the Attack Ship, sorry.
And also I have stuck up my AR GUN MODING page back up, it has codes for EVERY GUN and how to mod them, NB: AR is Action Replay, the pal version of a Gameshark. These codes will only work on games that are pal(uk, australia, etc.) and don't work for NTSC. Deadeye once had codes for NTSC but some bastards hacked the website and it got deleted, anyway so those are todays updates. -Xperimental.
PS. In answer to deadeye's update question thingy I don't think the bot can be killed w/ a Falcon-2, providing you're talking 'bout the G5 Bot.

WHA? NO UPDATE? -deadeye- My internet access is down right now, and was down yesterday as well. Right now I'm using my very slow back-up ISP.
Answer to Question #11: In Perfect Dark, you start out on the Carrington Villa with a laptop gun on Perfect Agent, belive it or not. Just press the "A" button to bring it up in case you never noticed.
Question of the Update #12: True or False: in Perfect Dark, there is a special method you can use to destroy the robot with the Falcon-2.

MUSIC PAGE COMPLETE -deadeye- I finally put up the Music Page for you to enjoy. There aren't many songs on it right now, but it'll grow. Currently, the artists are unknown.
EGGIES AND LITTLE PINK BUNNIES -deadeye- Have a great Easter today. Don't get too fat on chocolates and all that other good stuff. Expect some movies, screenshots, and buddy icons coming up soon. I still have to make a new weapons page and put up some midis. Fooie.
Answer to Question #10: True. In the early stages of Perfect Dark's development, you could have doubles of all weapons, like and goldeneye, and you could hold pistols in three different ways. However, reload animations were not in at that time.
Question of the Update #11: In Perfect Dark, what weapon do you start off with in the mission "Carrington Villa" on the Perfect Agent setting?
MORE? -deadeye- Sorry for not answering the "Question of the Update" yesterday, I'll get it later today. Anyways, I am going to add even more pics to the "Inaccesable Places" section to feed your greedy eyes. Expect a whole crapload of new pics of inaccessable places sometime today. In fact, there's so many new pics to add that I'll have to make a "page 2" to allow for less loading time. After I finish them you'll be able to see every inaccessable nook and cranny in dataDyne, as well as a few more places from other levels. Someday I'll have to divide the section into different levels because there will be so many screenshots and so much info on all the little nooks and crannies in Perrfect Dark. Oh, you'll love it, indeed. It's my little Easter gift to you.
Answer to Question of the Update #9: There are 25 steps total in the Combat Simulator level "Felcity" in Perfect Dark.
Question of the Update #10: True or False: in the early stages of Perfect Dark's development, it was possible to use doubles of every weapon in the game, and you could hold pistols in a variety of different positions.
